Meghan and I have exciting news to share with you.
New Job I (Eric) accepted the chief operating officer position (a.k.a., “vice president”) at a nearby partner/neighboring school, Amundsen Educational Center (AEC). I'm enthusiastic about continually being called to serve Native Alaskan students.
This new position offers me a great opportunity to grow professionally and help a school that is smaller and needs more organizational capacity as it seeks to enlarge its ministry in the years to come. Meghan and I continue to remain active at Alaska Christian College (ACC), where Meghan is a mentor to girls while I, with AEC's permission, voluntarily teach one class per year at ACC.
Your support has meant a great deal to us over the past two-and-a-half years. We want you to know that every dollar you have sent to us has gone toward our salary, for which we thank you very much!
Below is a link to a brief article that emphasizes the interrelationship between the Covenant Church, the Alaska Christian College, and the Amundsen Educational Center. It highlights what each Covenant school has been providing native Alaskan youth for several years. After reading the article, you'll be familiar with the name Roald Amundsen, the missionary pilot who lived here in Soldotna until he died on December 5, 2008, at the age of 94.

Incidentally, in 1952, Roald had flown my grandfather, Robert Honnette, around the state of Alaska. Grandpa then produced a video for the Covenant Church called, "Call to the Arctic", which told of the work that the Covenant Church was doing in and throughout Alaska, spreading the gospel of Jesus
Today, more than 50 years later, Meghan and I are pleased to serve the Lord in this great state.
Because the two of us are responsible to raise our own salaries up here, we ask you, as one of our care and prayer supporters, to prayerfully consider continuing to support our family as we serve Native Alaskan students. Thankfully, we're grateful that the missions committee at Chapel in the Pines decided to continue its financial support of us and our Christian endeavors, here in Alaska.
